webs of gold: part 1

i have been so excited to share these pictures with you all!!  i convinced lindsay to do a sunrise instead of sunset shoot, and i think i may love morning light equally as much and maybe even a little more than evening.  many thanks to her for humoring me and getting out of bed at an ungodly hour to do hair and makeup...i looked like i had just woken up, and she looked like this at 6:00 am.  unfair.  this particular morning was gorgeous.  we decided to trek into the middle of this grove of trees where i almost walked into the biggest spider i have seen in a long time at about crotch height (it is pictured below, and please note that it is eating a large grasshopper to give you some idea of size).  as the sun rose above the trees we decided to move towards to front of the grove through a field of very tall grass and shrubs- i was originally shooting with the sun behind me, but decided to instead move in front of lindsay so that i could incorporate some sun flare.  and then magic happened.  every stick and piece of grass had a miniature spider web woven into the top of it.  the sun was glinting off of each causing the whole field to glow with a golden hue.  it was unreal.  i have never seen anything like it, and was so blessed to share the moment with a good friend.  lindsay rocked this shoot again, as per usual, and her natural glow complimented the spider's webs so well.  the grass was so wet with dew, and we were both soaking wet up to our thighs by the time we quit.  lindsay knitted the fingerless gloves and scarf that she is wearing.  the boots i found in a thrift store, and they have no brand name or any writing at all inside.  i am in the process of finalizing my pricing structure, but would love to do more morning shoots if anyone finds this more appealing than an evening shoot.  part 2 coming soon.
love,
m
